Comments on June Employment Report

The headline jobs number at 213,000 for June was above consensus expectations of 190 thousand, and the previously two months were revised up by a combined 37 thousand. Overall this was a strong report. Earlier: June Employment Report: 213,000 Jobs Added, 4.0% Unemployment Rate In June, the year-over-year employment change was 2.374 million jobs. This is solid year-over-year growth. Average Hourly Earnings Wage growth was slightly below expectations in June.
