ISM mfg index hits 50.1 in Oct.; construction spending up 0.6% in Sept.

This is a breaking news story. Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters forecast the ISM manufacturing index in October would edge down to 50. The index gave a reading of 50.2 in the previous month.
