Housing Starts at 1.253 Million Annual Rate in June

From the Census Bureau: Permits, Starts and Completions Housing Starts: Privately-owned housing starts in June were at a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 1,253,000 . This is 0.9 percent below the revised May estimate of 1,265,000, but is 6.2 percent above the June 2018 rate of 1,180,000. Single-family housing starts in June were at a rate of 847,000; this is 3.5 percent above the revised May figure of 818,000. The June rate for units in buildings with five units or more was 396,000.
