Weekly Initial Unemployment Claims decreased to 199,000, Lowest since 1969

The DOL reported : In the week ending January 19, the advance figure for seasonally adjusted initial claims was 199,000 , a decrease of 13,000 from the previous week's revised level. This is the lowest level for initial claims since November 15, 1969 when it was 197,000 . The previous week's level was revised down by 1,000 from 213,000 to 212,000. The 4-week moving average was 215,000, a decrease of 5,500 from the previous week's revised average.
