December Employment Report: 148,000 Jobs Added, 4.1% Unemployment Rate

From the BLS : Total nonfarm payroll employment increased by 148,000 in December , and the unemployment rate was unchanged at 4.1 percent , the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reported today. Employment gains occurred in health care, construction, and manufacturing. ... The change in total nonfarm payroll employment for October was revised down from +244,000 to +211,000, and the change for November was revised up from +228,000 to +252,000.
