Senior Republican senator says he thinks Trump will not reappoint Yellen to Fed

An influential Republican Senator said Tuesday he did not think that President Donald Trump would reappoint Fed Chairwoman Janet Yellen to a second four-year term. "I believe he will appoint someone else to take her place," Sen. Richard Shelby, the former chairman of the Senate Banking Committee, told Bloomberg Television. Shelby said he has talked to Trump about the vacancies at the central bank, but refused to provide any details of their conversation.
