Fed - Brainard comments more important, forget Yellen/Fischer

The gulf between Fed hawks and doves evident during 2016 has been bridged. This is the main takeaway from the hawkish comments from Brainard who has tended to be on the more dovish end of the spectrum. Brainard in a speech late Wednesday said that the risks to the outlook "are as close to balanced as they have been in some time" adding that a hike "will likely be appropriate soon".
