Why the Fed might not raise rates anytime soon

There are still 6-year olds who haven't lived in a world with positive interest rates. The question now is whether there will be 7-year olds who haven't.That's because the Federal Reserve just decided to keep interest rates at zero for at least a little longer. It did so, after it had signaled that it might raise them for the first time in almost a decade, due to dormant inflation at home and financial turmoil in the rest of the world.
