Fed's Williams: April jobs report 'positive' sign of momentum

WASHINGTON (MarketWatch) - The April jobs report was a "positive" signal that the economy has good momentum, said San Francisco Fed President John Williams. "I think what we're seeing is pretty steady job gains," Williams said in CNBC interview Monday, Williams said he expects the economy to bounce back from the weak first quarter, which he called "an anomaly." "The fact that we saw good employment numbers and other indicators, I think, is very reassuring on that," he said.
